A Light in the Dark is the third book in The Memory Tree series by Veena Naravane, created for middle grade readers navigating the loss of a parent in service to the nation. It is a collection of short stories, offering guidance, comfort, and quiet strength to young readers.

For this project, I created the cover illustration, interior illustrations, and designed the cover layout for the entire series.

 

The visual language was rooted in simple, intentional line art adding a calm breathing space that integrates with the stories.
